YOGA CLASSES



Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga consists of ancient kriyas, or specially formulated sets of exercises which focuses on awakening the Kundalini, the energy of consciousness , an enormous reserve of untapped potential within each of us. It is normally depicted as a coiled or sleeping serpent, located in an area towards the base of the spine. Each kriya, or yoga set is designed to target specific issues, allowing practitioners to focus on exactly those aspects of their physical, mental or emotional state that need work at the current time. you will benefit greatly from an elevation in consciousness, promotion of physical well-being and an expansion of awareness. You will feel more relaxed and at ease with yourself.
This class is also recommended during pregnancy.

Power Yoga
This class is a lively, energetic, flowing class synchronizing breath with movement. Build strength, flexibility, and concentration. Cleanse the body and calm the mind. Each class is unique and will vary from teacher to teacher. You can always expect a great cardiovascular and strength building workout combined with breath work (pranayama). The term Power Yoga was created by teachers looking to make Ashtanga yoga more accessible. However, Power Yoga classes do not follow a set sequence of postures like Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.These classes are appropriate for active beginners through to advanced students. Modified versions of more challenging postures will always be given. Be sure to work at your own pace, and take breaks whenever you feel the need. Come and be inspired!

Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a quiet, gentle practice suitable for all levels of practitioners. Slow, passive, deep stretches are held for 3-5 minutes, offering space for insight into the body, mind and spirit.

Hatha Yoga
This class is an energizing yoga practice geared at intuitive body awareness through peaceful meditative motion, provides Greater Energy, Vitality and Strength. In this class we focus on spine, shoulder and leg flexibility and core strength of the abdomen, chest and arms. No experienced required.

Hatha Flow Yoga
Hatha Flow combines breath and movement in a series of postures that gently heat the body internally. Through alignment and intention, Hatha Flow becomes meditation in motion and a safe way to strengthen the physical body. Suitable for all levels.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Vinyasa Flow Yoga synchronizes breath and movement so the yoga poses run together as you inhale and exhale. There is no defined sequence in Vinyasa Flow so every class is unique and designed to empower you to awaken your full potential and achieve the results you desire. A Vinyasa Flow class will not only stretch and strengthen you in body, mind and spirit, but you'll have fun doing yoga as well. All levels are welcome to practice and celebrate yoga in this class. Come and create new possibilities within!

Pilates
Pilates offers an approach to strength and flexibility training with exercises created to strengthen abdominal and back muscles while developing pelvic stability and abdominal control. A great compliment to any yoga practice, it promotes ease and efficiency of movement through focused, slow, careful and controlled exercise. The mind/body awareness developed in Pilates will improve your posture and form in all areas of your fitness program. All levels welcome.

Yogalates
Great fusion of yoga and pilates. It develops strength, stamina, stability and flexibility with particular attention paid to building tone in the deeper postural “core” muscles. These protect the spine against injury, support the internal organs and foster pelvic and spinal awareness to promote good posture. All levels.

Shotokan Karate
Karate means "empty hand", and Karate-do translates to "the way of Karate".  Shotokan Karate is a weaponless martial art that is founded on the basic techniques of punching, striking, kicking and blocking.  It is a way of character development for an individual to realize greater potential and expand the limits of that individual's physical and mental capabilities.  Karate in an excellent, time-proven method of personal development.  Shotokan Karate is a traditional Japanese Martial Art founded by Master Gichin Funakoshi.  Shotokan Karate remains firmly rooted in a strong martial arts tradition, emphasizing lifetime training for a healthy mind and body, rather than strictly as a sport. Requirement for participants: Please wear loose comfortable clothing which will allow free body movement including kicking. 

Body Sculpt Xpress
Body Sculpt Xpress is a strength training workout that combines strength training and cardiovascular conditioning using varying levels of resistance bands. This class is designed to shape and tone the body without building muscular size or bulk. It is highly recommended to those enrolled in a weight loss program because it helps retain lean muscle tissue while boosting metabolism. It also helps to prevent osteoporosis. Any fitness level can enroll.


DANCE CLASSES

Energetic Dance
Energetic dance involves free style dance and aerobic elements. The choreography incorporates hip-hop,  salsa,  bollywood, belly dance and martial art moves including squats and lunges.  This class will not only make you sweat but also will improve your motion, posture, flexibility and build strength.

Zumba
Zumba workouts combine interval training with exhilarating Latin Rhythms, giving you a workout that you will stick to and enjoy! Learn the exclusive and fun Latin dance steps to create a crazy and exciting aerobic workout. Zumba rhythms and moves burn calories and tone your entire body in one hot firestorm workout!

Tribal Fusion Belly Dance
In this Introductory Tribal Fusion class, Jenny will help you fine tune the fundamentals, such as posture, snaky arms and shimmies. Yoga and muscular isolations are crucial for mastering tribal belly dance moves. The drills covered will compliment the fresh combos taught at the end of class to inspiring music. Jenny strives to maintain an all-encompassing sisterhood with positive energy in her classes.

Body Dynamics
A combination of Hip Hop Dance, Plyometrics, Yoga; Capoeira to stretch, twist, and push your body to the limit. Class involves high intensity cardio and plyometric exercises, combined with dance; yoga stretching, dynamic exercises and drills from capoeira and dance.
Class format will be 15 minutes of warm-up, (cardio/plyo), 10 minutes stretching, 25 minutes of dynamic exercises and finish with 10 minutes of stretching.
